Application Request
After you find schools that you are interested in you must request an application
from each one. Send a letter to each school asking for an application, a financial
aid form, and any information you feel you may need (for example, details about
the department that interests you). In this request letter, include your name
and address, describe your educational background, list the entrance examinations
you have taken, describe what you want to study, and state when you want to start.
Below is a sample letter:

School Address
Dear Mr./Mrs. ______________,
I currently hold a French Baccalaureate degree in fine arts and would
like to enroll in Yale's bachelor's degree program in Art History
for the fall of 1998.
My first language is French. I have recently taken the TOEFL exam and scored a
590. I have also taken the GRE exam, but have not yet received my scores.
Please send me an application for admission, an application for financial aid,
information about college visits, and any other important information that I may
need to apply to your school. I would also be interested in meeting any Yale admissions
representatives who might be recruiting in Paris.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Your Signature
You can telephone, fax, or use the Internet to speed up processing time. As applications
require submitting fees of up to $100, you may wish to limit the number you request.
